Community Care

ACT OF GRACE is a Section 21 Nonprofit Company with the specific vision and mission to bring the loving kindness and compassionate care of Churches to thousands of AIDS orphans and street children. Act of Grace is doing this by creating a network of entry points where destitute children can go to for first line of care.

This network will consist of “safe havens” positioned throughout Cities in Africa, in close proximity to local Churches. In fact most of the safe havens will be positioned on church property. Others will be positioned on property identified by the local Government.

Each “safe haven” will be manned by volunteers of the local church, trained in Community Health Education programs. These programs will enable the church volunteers to identify AIDS orphans, establish their VCT status, feed the children and refer them to accredited institutions for follow up and treatment.

Substance abuse children will also be identified and referred to accredited institutions.

The Act of Grace "safe havens" only functions as entry points and transition facilities to place children with care families in Churches. Act of Grace is a community based holistic project existing to serve as an Outreach ministry to those people living with, affected by and infected with HIV/AIDS and orphans. ACT OF GRACE is not another church denomination, but a service body and a community based holistic project of cross- denominations.

ACT OF GRACE exists to bring hope and restoration to orphaned children living with HIV/AIDS. Our aim is to rise up a new generation of African God-fearing Christians children out of the tragedy of the AIDS pandemic.
